Try This Before Disjoin and Rejoin Domain

Posted on

We sometime need to disjoin/rejoin our computer account to make it work again.

This is because trust relationship between client and server has been broken thus the server cannot authenticate login process from client.
I test following script and it work fine without I have to disjoint/ rejoin computer name.

The format is :
netdom.exe resetpwd /s: /ud: /pd:*
Login as administrator, on command prompt do command above.
More infor about netdom.exe is here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325850

note: netdom.exe available when you install Windows Server 2003 Support Tools
